In joining the VERIFYHEALTHCARE campaign, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Karen but my friends call me “Kare”. Today there are several accounts and personalities aimed at providing health information. Social media has now become a platform for health tips and resources, which is amazing news, because as we know technology has the capability of reaching masses of people. In my opinion, health information should be accessible to all.
As a latinx who comes from a very humble background and is now on my way to becoming a healthcare provider, I have decided to use my voice as a way to help advocate and reach my community which is the purpose of this blog. My promise to you is that I will aim at always being as transparent as possible because authenticity is my life motto. Therefore, I’d like to share my credentials to provide assurance to my readers and followers that you will be receiving legit health information when you visit my site.
